What is the process of diagnosing anxiety?

The most common indicator of an anxiety disorder is experiencing symptoms of anxiety—like restlessness, panic, insomnia, difficulty in breathing—for a prolonged period, to the point where it interferes with daily life.

The clinical diagnosis of anxiety is a lengthy process. It requires a complete physical examination and comprehensive evaluation of symptoms. This is done to not only rule out other medical conditions that present similar symptoms to anxiety but also to assess the level of anxiety one is experiencing and make an accurate diagnosis.
